TAFE Queensland (formerly Gold Coast TAFE), a corporate member of the Forum, is interested in placing interns into IT Forum member companies.
The program places a soon-to-graduate student into the host company for 1 day a week for 8 weeks.
The intern will participate in the activity of the company and become another “pair of hands” to assist the organisation in their company operations.
Students cover a wide range of IT topics depending on their courses in which they are engaged, Topics include networking, programming, social media, system operations and end-point management. TAFE will ensure students will be appropriately matched to target organisation and will monitor each placement on a fortnightly basis. The client company will be the final arbiter of intern capability to assist the organisation and will be able to unilaterally terminate the arrangement at any time.
TAFE will handle all Workover requirements, clients will not be required to add to their insurance arrangements. While there is no formal feedback reporting, TAFE will maintain communications with the client to monitor how the placement is proceeding to ensure mutual benefits are achieved.
Members wishing to investigate the placement of an intern should send an email to David Bott, Job Matching Officer to email address David.Bott@tafe.qld.edu.au. Include in your email the following detail:
